An Africa trip?

Björn from Alps2Africa has some tips to share from his ill fated African tour (Hint: Egypt are throwing people in jail and impounding cars):

Basically impossible to avoid Egypt if driving overland, every other route is worse.
If I did it again I'd look into shipping a car to Ethiopia or Djibouti (ask the guys at Seakargo.com, +44 0845 5120 for a quote) or buy one in South Africa and go sourth-to-north.
